I think India should play with 5 main bowlers because if India just plays with 4 main bowlers and one of them gets injured India is left with only 3 main strike bowlers as happened in the last test match.Nehra has been prone to injuries and if he gets injured during the second test match India will again be left with 3 main bowlers. India was lucky that they could bowl an opposition out with only 3 bowlers in the last test but it may not happen every time
It is amusing to me how many different roles Ramiz has taken up. He is the PCB chief.. a commentator during every game, MC during post game ceremony, columnist. Isn't there an obvious conflict of interest between some of these? How can a board chief be ALLOWED to put on so many different caps?
Does Pakistan not have enough people to handle some of these? Sending your board chief to the presentation ceremony to talk to winning/losing captains. He is not at all graceful. He is almost on the verge of crying whenever Pak loses. In contrast Inzy is so graceful even during losses. Ramiz if he insists on being MC can learn a thing or 2 from Manjrekar who has done a great role at MC whenever called upon.
Rameez doesnt talk about what exactly went wrong with the Pak team. Was it only wayward bowling? What are the plans going into next two tests? Lots of gaps I bet.
2. But the Pakistanis were perhaps a trifle too overconfident about their "world-class-pace-attack",and unfortunately it WAS world-class also in waywardness...!
3. The Indian bowlers in contrast, concentrated on "line and length" and bowled to the weakness of the Paki batsmen...
4. Inzy's irresponsible run-out began their capitulation...
5. Their "star" Saqlain Mushtaq seems to have set somewhere along the horizon a while ago...!
6. But,a word of caution for our victorious team is in order...
7. A wounded Pakistani teanm will strike back viciously,BEWARE...!
Post- Multan Test, the " flatness " of the pitch seem to have become an issue, especially for the PCB officials. In this article, Mr.Rammez Raja has been forthcoming in acknowledging that this may be a non-issue, but even he considers it a point worth going over. If, as a home team, the pitch issue has to be brought up post-match, then someone forgot to do their homework !Perhaps Rameez is trying to correct this with PCB's direct involvement .
For whom the memory is short : The last Test India played, they scored 705 for 7 in the first innings against at attack of greater menace. It was Brett Lee then who went for over 200 runs. That match produced 1747 runs for the loss of 25 wickets, and no result. At Multan, only 1298 runs were scored, also for the loss of 25 wickets, and we had a result ! No one in Australia came up faulting the pitch for the massive Indian score. They knew their opposition! Their cricketers just put their heads down and applied themselves to salvage a draw. Pakistan managed to lose 20 wickets in a matter of just over13 hours !
The wicket had little to do with it. The cricket played had everything to do with it !
the t eam shld be change like we shld change mohd kaif and add ane allrounder like rohan gavaskar that will make team more storng then we can beat any hard one in the world...advice to zaheer khan is tht he can concentrayte in his line
I was extremely surprised by Ramiz's comments as they were very well balanced and impartial.I had always had the opinion that he was extremely biased as far as Pakistan's team was concerned which was generaly the case with him in the past.
