Sehwag has once again showed to the selectors that he has no willingness to stay on the wicket and will keep playing one-day style game (he only knos this)even in the longer version. But Selectors are also equally sure to keep giving him a place in the test side ignoring many straight bats in the country.
It's amazing how people like Mongia and Shewag keep getting those chances in spite of innumerable failures. Jaffer has been excluded from the test side after just one test failure in England. Though he looked a batsman of supreme class and proved this in other test he ppayed.
Why dont the Indian team try Ajit Agarkar as an allrounder in the New Zealand test series so that he gets enough confidence to perform in the Australian test series. We are lagging for an all rounder and Agarkar seems the best option we have. I think he needs little confidence and chance to perform in Test cricket. Last time he went to Australia he bowled well but withou luck
Senior or player who played international cricket must participate in domestic cricket to encourage domestic players. So that in future they also can perform like international player.
Dear sir, We are all expecting a very solid performance by India during their forthcoming series against the Kiwis. For that to happen the spinners will play a pivotal role in Indias success. But after all the faster bowler's contribution cannot be neglected at all. Since the " old war horse "| JAvagal Srinath is showing his desire for not playing the series it is all upto Zahher Khan to live up to the expectations. So Zahher's performance here at Chennai during the Irani trophy will give him a lot of confidence as well as the viewers who now can hope that whenevr he comes to bowl he will do something good.
