For his inninig's Sachin deserved the award. But he recognized the importance of encouraging the youngster. It was indeed a sporting gesture, but was it not the BCCI's duty to do it? Considering the Challenger Tropy was initiated to bring the youth into the forefront so the future India players would be selected, it is the Board's responsibility to make them feel that they have been noticed.. Anyway Shriram should be elated, you cannot get better applause for batting than from the Guru of batting himself... Way to go Shriram...a fantastic innings!!!!
Its time to think BCCI to give chance the heros of challengers trophy ......... for guys loke sriram, R.Gavaskhar, Balaji... really superb temperment, they has keep maintain that spirit.
What 's the point having dead pitches like these? the bowler's cant be judged fairly. In fact , everyone performed badly except for the occasional performance. So we are not likely to see any changes in the bowling line up.
As for the batsmen almost everyone has been among runs. Take any of these batsmen to Australia and they will crumble up to the pace and the green wickets.
sachin is the best,see sriram innings,but sachin is the best, he is above all at present crickters,he averages more that 58 in test, in onedayers it is around45, i love sachin as the way he stroke the balll best of luck sachin u willl more runs in future.
We had some amazing nail-bitting matches and everyone looks cool. The youngsters are always the worries for the Indian Cricket Team in the past, but in these matches they have shown that they have the fighting spirit and can do a lot for the team and the country.
Tendulkar, Dravid.. are really superb in their performances (as usual), but the real worry is the Indian Captain "Saurav Ganguly". We have seen in the past that he starts off really well, but couldn't able to built the innings. No doubt he is a claasie player when in full flow, but still, i guess, he loose his temporament and concentration after some superb shots. He need to built on his concentration.
But overall, i guess we could make a best team and will chew the NZ's and Aussies like anything in the forthcoming series.

I dont this tournament is a great victory for the selectors because we want a keeeper at One-Dayers eariler in the tournaments and in the World cup we have Dravid as the keeper but after the World Cup he said that he cannot keep for no longer so the selectors took 3 Keepers in the 3 Teams but 3 of them were very disappointing and the bowlers were also very disappointing the bowlers got very good hit from the batsmen.The Only happiness for the selectors is that of the batsmens I think Rohan Gavaskar,Sriram played very well in the Tournament but for all the other young players this was a disappointing Tournament.The selectors will be very carefully think which bowler should take for the replacement of Asish Nehra in the coming series against the kiwis.The keepers i think in the case of keepers i think they should continue Rahul Dravid in the One-Dayers if is not willing i think they should find very difficult to find a new keeper.
after a long long time sachin showed his talents here but still there was a chance for dravid but he couldnt anyways best of luck to him n all other members of our cricket team for the forth coming matches......
