it is a pity
by SARVOTHAMAN VITTAL on Sep 14, 2003 02:55 AM

halo everybody,

it is a pity that the ball with which Bajji got the India's first HAT-TRICK in test cricket was purchased for just Rs.55000. well i rate that ball much , even ten times the amoount for which it was bid is less in my opinion. for a HAT-TRICK is not an easy acheivement, u can have people hitting centuries ,though a double or triple ccentury is a feat in itself, single century is common.

Tendulkar is capable of doing that and bit more than that, but ask him make triple century , has he ever made. but BAjji has taken three wickets in a row though not independently , but his ball shud hav been bid for much higher price, Souran Ganguly and many others must hav been there , don they hav money to bid for that and retain the ball in India, they shud hav got the ball and gift it ti Harbhajan Singh and the money be donated in charity.
that shud be the spirit of the IndianCricketers,

ALAS! THEY LACK IT!

Harbhajan at the auction
by Easwar on Sep 13, 2003 12:25 PM

When I first saw the news that harbhajan had parted with his ball that got the hat-trick, I thought that he didn't realize the value of the hat-trick, however noble the cause for which he did it. But then, I saw his statement, where he has that he 'can get more hat-tricks'. That statement really conveys the confidence in this 'young sardar'. Kudos to the coach and captain for instilling such confidence in himself. I sincerely hope that Harbhajan goes on to achieve many more greats both for himself and for the country.

Well Done Guys

Well Done Guys.
This is a slap on the faces of all those who criticises Indian Cricketers not participating in any Charity things.

I have seen peole praising Steve waugh for his charity work in Calcutta, and peole criticisng Sachin & others for not doing anything in public.

But the matter of fact is all Indian cricketers were , are & will be involved in a lot of charity programs , but they dont want publicity.

Well Done Guys.......
