challenger trophy Ind 'B' Vs.Ind Sr.
by HCDave on Sep 12, 2003 03:01 AM

Players are trying to achieve their performance for ensuing trio series but so far bowlers are not bowling better line and length and in challenger trophy which is domestic series scores are going higher and higher. This is not good enough.Zaheerkhan should try hard and hard for maintaining line and length with his pace attack because he is deserving bowler for trio series of Australia,India and New Zealand.Agarkar is maintaining line and length but it should be consistant.Balaji is improved considerably but run giving is great problem for him.Spinners are doing somewhat better but not to the satisfaction.India 'B' team is comparatively weak team against India Sr. but captain played natural innings as usual and get rid of the game.We hope for better performances of all players. India Seniors overconfident
by Anish on Sep 12, 2003 12:49 AM

In the first two matches involving India Seniors, only Sanjay Bangar, Murali Karthik and Hemang Badani have proved their form. It is time that fresh look is given to raw but in form players of bith India A & B teams.
No player should take his place granted to don India Cap!
Let us hope that Rest of India team includes some talented and young players from India A & B teams as well and all the National Selectors are present during the match.

Lets not read too much into this
by Harish Anand Thilakan on Sep 11, 2003 11:46 PM

I personally feel too much is being made out of this India Seniors business... If you look into the team line ups, each team looks like a India senior team. I feel that from the subsequent years, the teams should be called India-A, India-B and India-C.

So lets not read too much into this India Seniors elimination.

India 'B'

Saurav Ganguly should be asked to withdraw from the captaincy and Rahul Dravid should be immediately asked to take over if India has to perform well in the coming days.Saurav Ganguly has been pampered too much and he can neither bat,nor bowl nor field. He is unable to motivate the team due to his miserable performance.

Few Players are not playing to win
by Prad on Sep 11, 2003 10:17 PM

Hi,
I am surprised by the showing of few of the players in Challenger Series, look at the way India is chasing 338, Reetinder Sodhi is playing just to impress the selectors, Sanjay bangar is doing the same, Badani is doing the same. Common guys the spirit of cricket is One day is played to win the match. The way these guys were chasing 338, seems b4 taking guard they have made up their mind that they have lost and there is no point in chasing and lets impress the selectors.
I dont know this is the fault of the BCCI saying that the selection will depend on the performance in this series or is it that the Players want to make money so badly that they have forgotten the spirit of the game.
Regards,
pradeep

It's really a thoundering innings by the great indian wall. Also responded well by the other players like ajit and VIJAY . This shows that how excellent the wall (RAHUL) is playing I wish that he plays like this for the years to come and feel us proud.

Challenger Trophy Ind Sr.Vs.Ind 'B'
by HCDave on Sep 11, 2003 07:58 PM

Again rediff is first giving full details and score of Ind'B' batting first after winning toss and elected to bat and captain Rahul Dravid played his natural innings with expected century as well as century partnership with Bombay hero Ajit Agarkar, giving target 331 for 5 and captured two wkts in paltry 31 runs.Rediff is playing nice innings and beat all other teams.
