The saddest part is that Ramchand had to ask the BCCI for financial assistance in his illness. Cricketers like Ramchand who played for the country in the fifties and sixties did not enjoy the benefits the present cricketers are enjoying.
The BCCI should start a pension scheme for all the surviving ex cricketers. Surely they can afford.
