Its good to note that BCCI has acted sooner than Later. Any player who has represented his Country in any game should be well looked after as it is no mean feat. Well done BCCI

The President of the BCCI Shri Jagmohan Dalmiya has so far rendered satisfactory service to promote the game of Cricket. It is nice to see that during his tenure the BCCI has been able to send players to South Africa, Australia and the US for treatment of injuries. The recent decision to support former skipper Ramchand is to be appreciated. The BCCI could even go a step forward by making an inventory of former first class players who have served the game as players and are in need of assistance. If after retirement from the game good fortune has not smiled on them and if they are in need of assistance, a scheme could be worked out by which such players can have a regular pension. Extra ordinary expenses could be met as in the case of ailing Ramchand. Current cricketers will definitely back such a scheme and even be ready to participate in charity matches to raise funds that could form a major part of the corpus. We all know that Shri Dalmiya is a terrific administrator and such useful steps will only confirm his abilities and utility for the promotion of cricket and the benefit of players present, past and those still to come. Long live the successful BCCI. Long live Mr.Dalmiya !
