Same is true for the Australians, Mr. Chappell.

I would like to discuss Australia's chances on their forthcoming tour of India starting September next year. Australia has many players who have still to prove that they can play well in Indian conditions, including Ricky Ponting(wisden player of the yr). Help and advice your players.......

I thoroughly disagree with u. The australians came here and won at leaste a test while we go out there and are even struggling to win a game. They can play easily on spinning wickets but we are a bunch of bunnies when it comes to playing on bouncy surfaces. As for Ponting the less said the better. Yup he did score 20 in 6 innings in the test series but thats history. Did u see how he played in bombay on a rank turner i the ODI. Agreed he has a problem playing spin but we have a greater problem playing pace.

Absolutely! just trying to negate won't do any good to our notorious history of faring timidly against pace. Any team for that matter, uses a battery of sheer pace bowlers and drub our "great" Rainas, Rohits and even Kohlis not to mention horde of our seniors as well right from 1960s (before that I don't know) except for Dravid & VVS....who also probably were "compelled" to stay there AND if you stay there a bit then you start playing well. But, even for that, you need to have right basics ie. technique (physically) and patience (psychologically). Chaddi cricket success won't allow you to even retain that half way into the series!!!!he..he...he..ho..ho..ho!
