well i dont think laxman will excel too much on aussie pitches because of very less use of feet. but being a natural strokeplayer also helps. so cant say? just wait n watch!!!!
Laxman presently is in great touch and by seeing that we may say that he will do well in australia. But there is a whole lot of difference in the pitches as here we have batter's paradise whereas out there in australia its a bowler's paradise. Only if he plays well to the fast bowlers out there then only he will be proving himself completey.
To the best of my knowledge Laxman may just do well in Australia as the conditions like great standard of pitch where the ball comes raring neck high may just not suit Laxman's style of playing.World class fast bowlers like Magrath, gillespee & Lee will be raring to go at the batsman. I think Anil Kumble should be now kicked out of the team,as the conditions in Australia will not suit him.He has been enoughly pampered in India because of the tailor made wickets. Look at the humility of this guy. He has only good words for everybody and in spite of being the greatest left arm spinner in the world he never speaks highly of himself. The way danny bowled in the series against India should be rated as one of the greatest ever by a left arm spinner - Bishen Singh might not agree, but he doesn't agree to much anyways.
It is shameful on rediff's part to ask some average non Indian player like Vettori to rate class players like Ganguly , Tendulkar , Dravid . You guys are all set to sell our country's prestige to outsiders . Grow up and come out of your colonial mentality .
