Please have a 4-test, 5-ODI series ... Three tests and seven ODIs is not good. Too few (<=3) tests give the team trailing little scope to come back, and too many ODIs take the interest out. Need to have two first class games before the test series, say against a President's XI and Pakistan A, then if a national trophy tournament like the Ranji Trophy exists, a game after the second test. Then a ODI warm-up against Pakistan A for both sides.
The same goes when Pakistan tours India (if they are allowed to!).
Why cricket! Will cricket help in solving the problems that the citizens of two nations have suffered. Does that mean that the cricketers of both nation if made to stand on the LOC there would be no fireworks, no jehad,no bomb blast? If that is the case Why not have cricket matches where by the guarantee money the board receives,the players fees ,sponsorsfees are all given to the noble cause of rehabilating those who suffered for our mistakes. Lets see if our cricket board can do this sacrifice to save the nation & bring peace between the two nations. Our children would be proud of sachin saurav and his team.History could be rewritten!!!!
your news item refers to Kashmir as "Disputed Himalayn Region". Kashmir is integral part of India and Rediff being an Indian site should not be calling it as a disputed region. I understand the news is from Reuters, still you need to check the coverage.
