Truly....the best player in the world at the moment....n not just because of the runs he scores but because of his brilliant attitude on n off the field as well!! Not even Sachin would have walked like the way Gilly did....in the situation Gilly did! What can I say....best batsman...ADAM GILCHRIST!!
It was certainly commendable that Gilly walked during the match against SL,more so coz it was a very important match,& since it very definitely is a very un-Aussielike thing to walk,we need to applaud Gilly on that one;but as far as Gilly's comments about 'acceptable level of verbal trade-off' & 'playing in a spirit that's acceptable',well,that's just laughable.It's ridiculous that Gilly's asking us to believe that Mcgrath & co,with the open support of their skipper,have all these years,only being induling in 'an acceptable level of verbal tradeoff' & 'playing the game in an acceptable spirit'.Why,if the Aussies were dealt with firmly through fines & suspensions every time they erred,they wouldn't have a team any more!!!And not to forget,the Aussies don't stop sledging even after they retire- anyone remember a gentleman answering to the name of Lillee??!!
