why not laxman?
by srinivas tanniru on Oct 23, 2003 07:40 AM

It would have been a good tactic to give laxman a chance to show his leadership qualities. It was pretty clear from the second test, that dravid is not that comfirtable in that role. In onedayers, if dravid takes the responsibility to keep the wickets too, it would be real difficult for him to concentrate on field settings. Laxman, known to be a good leader would have been an optimal choice.

One day series

Let us not fool around with balaji or Agarkar for the first one day match ! Instead, let us go in with Zaheer, Kumble, Bajji and Karthik as regular bowlers.
karthik will rpove to be a better bet than Agarkar or Balaji.

about pace balling attack

i think so giving a second chance to balaji in one day is eating bread without butter.there should have been a great differece if munaf patel had played. indian selectors are just doing it as bullock running with his cart and not with carrying load while running
