I must say VVS laxman is having the best luck then anybody have.i mean his selction in team and omission of ajit agarkar is the only politics of Saurav Ganguly.Saurav Ganguly is the best leader not in cricket but in politics as he is a great politician.
The Indian Cricket Board is one of the most predictable organizations on earth. They seem to drop all players who have done well and also those who have not got an opportunity to display their talent. Instead they select the people who neet not have performed so well. Whenever there is an Indian Cricket Team selection one can be assured that he will not be selected if he is good enough. Not selecting match winners like Ramesh and Rohan Gavaskar clearly shows the board's lack of ability to select the right people. Rohan Gavaskar is a true match winner.. We have seen that over the years.. He even did well against an Australian team in Malaysia a few years back. It is shameful that he is not in the team. Ramesh hit a century against New Zealand.. He hung in there for almost a day. And he is still not in the team. This is what makes the difference between Pakistan and India.. Pakistan does not have really talented people.. But they put out their heart for the match.. They are all match winners.. Whereas most Indian matchwinners are still waiting to get a chance to pkay for India.
I was suprised to see L.Balaji and Aakash Chopra in the list. The fast bowling department looks very inexperienced.I feel Sanjay Bangar is a right choice for both opener's slot and the back up seamer's slot.He might have done the job of both the players mentioned above. I feel S.Ramesh should have been the option for opener's slot along with Bangar. I feel very disappointed not to have Ajit Agarkar in the team. Anyway,I am not satisfied by the selectors' job and this is not the stongest Indian Squad.
Where the hell are the senses of Indian cricket board??? Do they think Balaji has a place in the Indian bowlingline up and Agarkar doesn't??? Do they consider Yuvraj a more established test batsmen than Gambhir/Jaffer (or if performaces are wot the selectors are looking then Ramesh), for that matter even Bangar, who's proved his worth a lot more... If this is the kind of preparation for the tour down under, God save annihilation, hands of Aussies, but b4 that Kiwis at home!!!
i dont think this team can win the test matches with newzealand. I guess selectors picked the team to draw the matches. Six specialist batsmens for a team is rediculous. Instead they could have picked keeper batsmen like dd gupta of tilak naidu. It is a luxory to have non-playing captian either for tests.my suggestion is make dravid as test captian take extra specialist bowler like munaf patel and select keeper-batsmen rather than only keeper. you should realize that u need nourish the players in national side u can do it in other plotforms if u want make parthiv perfect. what happened to ss das u have given him enough chances as a future prospect but he is not successful. so stop this kind of future prospect experiments in national side. u cant win with 2 spinners and one fast bowler in a test match.i feel this team compositon is not good few players are luxury for the team.
