rookies slam indians

this is a common feature. our players lower their guard when playing second string teams. but nothing to worry, they will prove their mettle as the tour progresses.

where are other results???
by shreedhar kale on Nov 29, 2003 09:57 PM

Rediff is losing it's customers....it seems they don't care about it anyways...There are two one-day internationals that were completed , yes, they were internationals...compared to not even fisrt class match that india played....and there was not even a mention of the results for those ODIs!!! That's ridiculous! I agree it's an Indian site, and myself an India too, but it atleast should make sure that it is following up all the cricket that is being played!! atleast the international cricket!!!!

My opinion about indian bowlers
by vinod on Nov 29, 2003 06:31 PM

According to me, I m confirmed about indian bowlers that thery are not at all effective at international level. they just throw ball. and as we obsreved today that quinseland batsman smashed indian bowlers , then we can imazine that what austraillian batsman will do....

this is no new
by krish on Nov 29, 2003 04:52 PM

its no new to all of us. very few could have expected a different touring indian side in australia.it would be better if the indians come back from australia and instead tour in bangladesh.that would be good for them and for the public watching the matches.
It seems that the indian team had lost the battle against the australians even before the start of it.its over some 7 decades but the indians still repeat the same mistakes and falter when they tour out of the sub-continent especially in australia. It would be better if the indian board frame a tough domestic competition in india like that of the australia, they might result in the production of technically and mentally fit players.

bad performance
by rajeshtegta on Nov 29, 2003 02:43 PM

it's really disappointng start for the visiters,if they can't perform better againt the unexperienced side ,they have to face an uphill task in forthcoming series against the world champion.
All of them have to play more then their potential to be somewhere near to the Aussies.

Thanks.
Rajesh

laxman - keep dropping catches
by Dinesh bhagirath on Nov 29, 2003 02:18 PM

For how long Laxman will keep dropping catches and bring the confidence of the bowler to a new low. Against Australia, anyway it becomes a nightmare for the bowlers to bowl and adding to their woos, Laxman drops the catches in wholesale. He has been blocking the place for his so called batting but then there is no point in making 40 runs and dropping 4 catches.
Instead, his place should be given a to young batsman who is equally a great fielder like Kaif.

An excellent catch or run out on the field lifts the morale of the entire team and not just the bowler. Whereas a dropped catch brings everybody's shoulder down.

So nice for these things to happen. Selectors can finally take note. Historical performance dont match much and with the current controversy of selectors we can surely ask "God knows who bought their way there". What the selectors had in mind sending two insipid spin bowlers really dont know.
