Indians should be more proactive and just play their natural game, their mind to be first set that, Australia is one of the cricket nations just like us rather thinking that always they are the team which wins. Macgill and Gillespie are good bowlers in any conditions and especially in australia they are even more stronger.

First we need to remove the mindset off and think positively and start playing the natural game atleast to save our skin from defeat.

Oppurtunity for India
by B Raju on Nov 27, 2003 12:38 PM

This is a golden oppurtunity for Indian batsmen to gain confidence and show their mastery. Once the Aussies are psychologically beaten in the first two tests , the confidence gained by the Indian players will be sufficient to play out the remaining two tests. Ususally it happens that the most successful captains face defeat in their last series - be it one day or tests. Clive Lloyd underwent the same. Imran Khan was an exception. Since this is going to be Steve Waugh's last series , let's hope history repeats itself and even if the Indians manage to draw all the four tests , it will be a sort of defeat for the Australians.

Indeed it is a very balanced side even without the likes of MacGrath, Lee and Warne. This is the best chance India has of putting their heads down and playing well in the first two tests before the return of the fearsome fast bowlers,MacGrath and Lee.
India should not experiment with new bowlers and batsmen in the tests but should give ample chance to the new cricketers in the league games to build up their confidence.
