this is in response to the alledged bride that Noel might have paid to get into the team....
I have known Noel on a personel basis all my youth...We studied together and played cricket together right upto the time he got busy playing for Hyderabad...
Noel has had a bad time with the selectors. He never would have paid anything to get into the team...If he contemplated that then its wrong...but its not his style.
Noel always played well in the divisional matches and it was always a surprise as to why he wasn't in the team sooner. After having been selected in his late twenties, when most players contemplate retiring, it was a greater surprise as to why he should have been dropped from the team...NOW SHOULD I PUT THIS DOWN TO THE FACT THAT NOEL WAS A SIMPLE CHAP WITH NO POLITICAL PULL????
Noel had a hard life...so for heaven sake leave him alone.
