Something sure is fishy
by gerald on Nov 22, 2003 11:31 AM

Something surely stinks. For Abhijeet Kale seems to unusually cool about the whole episode. Fielding queries of the press with the expertise of a pro. The Selectors on the other hand seem to be extra ordinarily quick in reacting to the issue issuing press statements quicker than usual. Deciding to almost jump the gun in anouncing kale's suspension. I think the turn of events in the near future is going to be very interesting and an eyeopener for a lot of us cricketing fans in this country where cricket is the second religion to most of us.

Abhijeet Kale
by kiran joshi. on Nov 22, 2003 09:59 AM

Abhijeet Kale has consistant performance in the domestic cricket and does not need to bribe the selectors for his selection. The only problem is that the Selectors only concentrate on the players who are in the Elite Group. The pattern of Zone wise representattion on the Selection Committee should be scrapped. BCCI should have 5 members committee of players who have been upright in their life for the interest of cricket. MCA should conduct the inquiry if they found Abhijeet innocent they should back him and expose the culprits behind this episode.

Kale / Morey

It may be true Kale wanted to bribe!, but first let the world know how did Kiran More was in the Indian team after Kirmani's exit eventhough he was not performing well for so many years. He(Kiran) too used to be with very high influence because of Chandu borde, so that could be the motivation for recent youngsters!.

he is innocent

i dont believe that Kale offered the bribe, he is a very straight forward man. The selectors are horrible people who are framing him.

kale episode

It smacks of amateaurish board. An allegation without enquiry and the player has been held guilty by the whole media. The media is atrocious- has no qualms about anybody- it is irresponsible to brand someone before enquiry. In case he is innocent who is going to punish the media. There seems to be something strange - A person who has scored tons of runs offering 2 million rupees to selectors? was it oral? why could not someone played mischief over phone? If the selectors have personally been asked by him why are they not speaking. Something wrong. Cant it be a conspiracy.
