why ganguly ???
by ranjan on Nov 22, 2003 11:44 AM

I wonder why selectors have taken inury prone ganguly for a tough tour like austrlia ! Ganguly has feared defeat and asked dravid to captain the side in kolkata. so that he can say if i would be there story can be different!".
Whether you agree or not, its only dravid (not even sachin ) who ll matter in austrlia as lots of bouncy pithces will be awaiting them. Those who doesnt buy my ideas can remind how many times sachin n ganguly have hooked a bouncer with perfection !!

How I wish John Wright proves our negative predictions Wrong !
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on Nov 22, 2003 03:26 AM

Shri John Wright has done very well to mould our cricket team into a fine unit over the past years and something tells me that Ganguly and his gallant heroes are going to give a tight fight to the Aussies in their own den. With batsmen like Chopra, Sehwag, Dravid, Laxman,Ganguly and the great Sachin well used to the Aussies style of playing it may not be easy for Steve and his boys to do to India what they have been doing to the other test playing countries with routine monotony. Most of the Indian batsmen are bound to click and with good support from the ever green Anil Kumble as usual, Harbhajan and Zaheer may make the Aussies dance to the tune of Indian music. Then there are the other young hungry tigers who may choose to roar at the right time. Good luck to Ganguly and the boys in the tough mission ahead. We are all with you as usual. May John Wright prove our prophets wrong !

Ganguly

Hello Mr Ganguly,
You've become a very good media spokes person. You should've been the CEO of some MNC. Well, what levels of Game are you referring?? All these statements have become cliched just before start of any tour but all 1 billion people of india know that the writing is there on the wall. If not a complete brown wash i definitely see a 3-0 result in Australia's favour. Iam a die hard fan of Indian Cricket and our cricketers but losing to Australia in our own back yard is simply not acceptable. 235 was not a big score to chase considering the fact that there were 8.1 overs to spare. Well i dunno who has a say in the selection process but its very obvious that Parthiv Patel and Deep Das gupta are the two most talented ..oops sorry two most influential people in Indian cricketing circuit. Only prodigies like Sachin can afford to be there in Indian team at the age of 16+. I dont think that parthiv patel is a better keeper/ batsman than Thilak Naidu. And Murali Karthik, whats his mistake after all?? Deep das Gupta doesnt even merit a discussion in a forum like these. Mr Ganguly its high time you get your team selections right.
May the best Team WIN !!!!!
