Gavaskar predicts gloomy time
by Ashim on Dec 15, 2003 06:01 PM

Dear gavaskar, if you can not lift up the morale of the team please do not do the disgrace of pronouncing the judgement even before the first ball is bowled. No wonder you are not the prefered one with the current indian team. Do a better job next time.

poor suni1!!!
by Pankaj Mishra on Nov 21, 2003 02:31 PM

Dear Gavaskar,

what u said is not a prediction, its a well known fact and v all have full confidence on our team and selectors(who have already done their job)that we will loose convincingly, they will definitely ensure it.
I regard u as a good cricketer who has serviced ths country nicely and thanks for that. but now instead of writing all this do u have any say in wht so ever is happenning these days. V foolish common people are writing all this as we can not not contribute anything in any other way. but sir u can do some thing which u shud do.
v don't (and i firmly believe neither our captain nor selectors nor the both keeper touring aus might be knowing who will keep wickets in Aus tour) isn't it stupid. can't we trace a reliable wicketkeeper who can bat. what is the job of selector may i know that. for wht they are getting money. when will be the performance will be the yardstick of selection. if these stupid selectors believe in selecting their zonal players so why can't v shift them in their respective zones. can't they come out of their homes to see our feelings, pains and tears which we had after loosing.
i have full confidence that the bribery scam is to confuse us

Whats new in this, You asked with a child he will say the same.Being a legend in the game you should have passed some morale boosting comment which would have encouraged new comers to put their 100%.

After hopeless performance in india against Assuie and kiwis, ganguly heading toward another brutal demolitions . They are eagrly waiting for india to repeat last tour. After australia, pakistan is waiting for world cup revenge.
Perhaps only sachin, rahul, jaheer and god only can save men in blue.
Really Gavasker said true 'There will lots of vaccancy in team after australia tour'.

demoralising
by prabhu on Nov 20, 2003 11:48 PM

It is not the trip thats demoralising but people like Gavaskar and Bishan Bedi who are born pessimists who demoralise the team.everything that happens these people have to say something negative.is it necessary for them to talk about something which they have not experienced since world cricket has evolved much better and faster then the from their times?

just give up
by glen on Nov 20, 2003 11:09 PM

why does'nt india just give up cricket once and for all so we won't have to ever read of its disgusting performances in the media and the latter can then cover 'real' news.

The great indian team
by Vishal Bansod on Nov 20, 2003 10:42 PM

I completely agree with gavaskar's comment that india will have a gloomy time in kangaroos land & all of us know's this so we will have to accept the fact that despite having such a great players we cannot even draw a single test match there.
When we gave up fighting the aussies on our land what will happened when we will go there???????????

GOD HELP US THERE ONLY GOD

If he can not encourage he should keep quite
by Sameer Adhyapak on Nov 20, 2003 09:16 PM

No doubt he was great batsman of yeasteryear, and he still holds record centuries in test cricket but it does not allow him to critisize the team every now and then. Please if you can not encourage them at least dont demoralise them.

Margins with which we are loosing while batting in the second half is decreasing with every match and little counselling should put us in par with champions while chessing. Wish the indian team learns that quickly and play the game of cricket in the middle of field.
