Akram is the best pace bowler, we should not mingle politics with sports. As a sportsman he will be very much helpful to the Indian bowlers, no sportsman will give a negative thought only Board should consider and should have ambition to win against aussies not like world cup & calcutta final what happened now. How many matches we will be bowing down, better to pull up the socks now.......
If ganguly did make those comments, it is a shame to India, and especially so for the shameful Indian cricketeers who are trying their best to play with Pakistan despite the country's combined resistance to play with the mercenary country.
I believe it is an excellent idea to consider (not blindly hire) Akram for the position of India Bowling Coach. After all, should we not give everyone an equal opportunity to post for the position ? Zaheer Khan & Ashish Nehra have openly stated that Akram is their inspiration and they seem to be in periodic touch with him to get tips etc. Why not make it official ? If the only reason we will not consider him is because he is Pakistani, that would be a shame. Imagine the Pakis' faces when we sucessfully retain Akram as one of India's coaches ! The only ones who should be embarassed are the Pakistanis - after all they let him go. Their loss will be our gain. I sincerely hope, the BCCI considers Wasim for the position.
Do what is best for the Indian team, there`s no denying the fact that Akram is one of the Greatest Bowlers of the modern Era & there`s nothing wrong in using his expertise in coaching our Bowler`s who need to still learn a lot................inorder to be the ranked amongst the best in the world.Kudos to Saurav Ganguly.....& if this doesnt happen.......it would be SAD!!!!
Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Rajiv Shukla's statement in connection with the above issue is absolutely not warranted. By trying to mix sports and politics together and give a multidimensional perspective is absolutely not warranted. While the Prime Minister of India should be commended for extending the hand of peace with Pakistan, such comments should be refrained from being passed. In fact, by appointing Wasim Akram as a bowling coach, India and Pakistan will better the relationships, than leave them in the present situation. For that matter, many Indian politicians, who are still active, were born in Pakistan and vice-versa, as well. Haven't these countries, respected their individual status and haven't these leaders come to the fore-front? Personally, I feel, that a deadly bowler like Wasim Akram, should be given the mantle of a bowling coach, so that our bowlers can get immensely benefitted. To further endorse, Dennis Lillee extended his coaching to lads during MRF Camp before Reliance Cup and none of the bowlers recommended by Lillee were considered. Everyone knows the result. Lillee's team, walked away with the Reliance Cup. It is high time, we Indians learn from mistakes

Country can't imagine u as a coach never I have seen u along with Kapil or Srinath.....Don't say it is bad, it is a right move, Board shd welcome this move o'wise there is no point in going to Australia, or else it will be picknic.........
its high time that we rose from our petty thinking and broadened our horizons. If we can get akram, it would be very silly and immature not to get him, let the politicians not rule our lives, !!!!!
