Tour selection

Ommision of Murli Kartik and Yuvraj is shocking.
Considering his spining action, he is definelty should be in in test team. Kumble should be the fist choice to drop.

Regarding Youraj, he is more sucessful in faster pitches like Austalia. Secondly he is good filder. When dravid was new and strugling to get form, I still rember lot of chances has given to him.

One Keeper is sufficient considering ability of Dravid of keeping. We are unnecessary reducing the wining chances of by taking second keepar just to increase the number.

It will be best if we disolve the BCCI whose only interest is in filling its coffers and not spending a single paisa for the betterment of the game. The selection is usually a comical farce without any transparency. A much better team can be selected just by popular voting. The best process would however be a system of rating list linked to performance in each and every match a player plays (some thing like a tennis rating or Chess rating) covering Batting, Bowling, Fielding, runs saved, runs allowed due to misfield, catches taken, catches dropped and special bonus points for ability to adjust or play to the situation (match winning play).

Any takers ??

looks like the selection committee is back playing the one game it knows how to: politics. the list of 20 defies comprehension. deep das gupta, parthiv patel, kumble, badani, and balaji? if india needs a wicketkeeper who can bat why not give poor dharmani a chance. he averages close to 60 in the ranji trophy. my team would be: ganguly, dravid, tendulkar, sehwag, laxman, akash chopra, yuvraj, dharmani, bajji, kartik, zaheer, nehra, irfan, agarkar, munaf, and salvi.[7 bats, 1 wk-batsman with dravid to double up, and 8 bowlers coz its the bowlers who have always been our weakness].

Team for Australia

Why the hell they have included Kumble in the team....
He is like a nil on the field and his bowling will not be that effective on the flat pitches...
They might have have given a fair chance to Ajay Ratra and also Wasim Jaffer who has done pretty fair compare to Akash Chopra....
Its looks disgusting on terms our selection comittee do the selection.....
