How can Ganguly say so?
by Ramprasad Sonti on Nov 16, 2003 11:49 AM

Dear Saurav,

First of all you should look what kind of allegation you are making. Dravid is basically a Batsman, doing Duty for the Country in the Interest of the Team. He is doing his best. If the Country doesn't have or if Selectors cannot recognise good Wicket keepers its not Dravid's Fault at all!!!

disgusting

dear Mr. Ganguly, bowling performance like the which in Bangalore can't win matches for you. the indian bowlers was just as good as ordinary bowlers who plays only cricket on roads. the indian bowling was fired all around the park as if all are on debut.
on the same wicket the Aussies bowled so well even though they are handicapped without their frontline bowlers. My appeal to indian team just watch the replay of the match.

to Mr. John Right: just teach Mr.Yuvraj Singh that how to play against the spinners. even a school boys knows how to sweep a spinner.

ganguly kindly note this, under ur captaincy
the players of our team unable to perform well
as u r not giving them chance and u r blaming on
rahul dravid so pls.don't point fingers at others
ur performance is very poor so it is better if u quit
from captaincy or leave the indian side so other
players can get chance to show his ability
during the first match under rahul captaincy
india won against the best team of the world
because he allowed each and everyone to play his
natural game accoring to situation that is the duty of captain which he has.& about u, u r mostly coming opener or one down and lose ur wicket early and
create pressure on the other batsmen.
u dont have the ability of being captain of our team
so pls. resign.

To,
The Indian Captain.

Dear Sir,

Firstly as a captain you have not performed well against any of the best team in the world, which surely Rahul Dravid has. Moreover you are not allowing players to play in the Indian side.

So better dont utter a word against anybody and better concentrate on your own performance or resign as a captain and allow Rahul Dravid to takeover you,

Bye never c u (in indian cricket side)

Ashjo

Rahul has not kept well......
by MUKESH SHARMA on Nov 14, 2003 12:43 PM

Dear Rediff,

We knows in indian cricket godfathers always plays a big roll and quota system as well, Being the 100 millian people country, can't we generate a qualified wicket keeper, have a look at arround our cricketing world, Gilchrist,Kaluwitharana,Mark Boucher,Taibu etc are the excellent allrounder.
D. Dasgupta, Parthiv are no where a nearby match to the aforementioned Keepers, a keeper who performed well Ajay Ratra was not given a fair chance by what ever reason or he might not have his godfather in indian cricket.
Same thing happend with Ajit Agarkar, a good perfomer of last two matches was dropped for unreasonable fact.

Being the Indian Citizen, it's duty of every team selector to give best to the nation.

Are they justifying with there jobs?

Rahul how long will be the keeper ?

Please stop taking such harsh decision for team selection, this would not only harm the indian cricket but bad for good telent hunt as well.

Imran Khan, Wasim Akaram, ,Mark Taylor played a significant and possitive roll in selcting and peaking-up new and good telent for thier country, can't our Sourav do this.

Rgdz...
Mukesh Sharma

Surely Rahul Dravid is not a regular wicket keeper so he cant keep well as compair with other regular keeper like Parthiv Patel . Rahul is a batsman and all indian wants he allways play a big innig for india b/c of that he know as "Wall of India" So i think just in emergengy Rahul have to keep but not regularly allthough it will effect on his batting performance

Ganguly's comments!!

We would not have to resort to have Rahul Dravid keep wkts if we did not have to accomodate a non-playing captain. How come our fearless leader, whose immense arrogance is mistaken for guts among many fans, does not bowl a single ball these days!!! It takes guts to put oneself in a tuff spot and the Prince does not have it. Lets see him opening in the bouncy pitches in Australia and then he can issue commannds to his team members or statements about their skills.

Of course we need a specialist keeper and a captain who can contribute!!

look for bowler who can bat as we dont have wicketkeeper batsman
by chirag on Nov 13, 2003 11:36 PM

why dont we understand and accept the fact that india doesnt have wicketkeeper bats man. instead we have to look for bowler who can bat, by this we can have seven bats man and also an specialized keeper.
