No doubtedly Javagal Srinath will always be remembered as the very best few Medium Pace bowlers that India has so far produced. We sure miss him on field. Its warm welcome from all Indians if he come back as a) player b) coach c) associate member or someway so that he can be associated with Indian Team,
Anybody commenting on Javagal Srinath that he was an "underachiever" or "could have done better" better take their words back. He was one of the Indians who have been Honest, Dedicated and Excellent in their Profession but yet have not recognition for their efforts.
thanks to shrinath for serving the country. he has won matches for india. only one thing to say that now india needs another shrinath and hope that we get it. thanks to him for his services given to indian cricket.
Its really very sad to know that u will not come in live action, I only pray for your health and hope ur services will come in another way to the Indian cricket.
It,s nice to see an indian cricketer retire as people ask "WHY" and Not "WHY NOT". It,s a good decision, as this would give an oppurtunity to at least think of other upcoming talents. Lets not forget srinath himself had to cool his back in the test matches early in his carreer, coz of the the Great Kapil Dev even though he was the not the force he used to be. So it,s nice to see Sri quit and keep the door open to others. thanx
Team as well as all of us will miss Srinath in the coming days and years. Especially in Australia and against the Aussies we would have required an experienced pace bowlers of his calibre.
There's an end to everything... and like wise its a end to an era of Srinath. He was the 1st of the PACE bowlers that Inda has produced so far (taking into account Kapil & others being medium pace & seam bowlers).
With years he has improved upon his bowling a lot. He has done a lot for the the nation for the good of the nation and the cricket in India... but he could have done more if he would have got more chances and his injuries would not have worried him so much. He wa a good team man too. At times when required he has also batted quite well.
LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST I also salute him for his come back performance in World Cup '03.
