The Javagal Express seems to have derailed in its course. Srinath is extremely bised in his views. Its true that Sehwag,Kaif and Yuvraj need to raise their level of game but what about the bowlers?They had a wonderful opportunity to prove their worth at Cuttack but gave the flimsy excuse that they could not get the proper grip because of dew. Srinath never blamed the bowlers but only the batsmen. Its time the bowlers also deliver for India. Zaheer,Agarkar, Kumble,Harbhajan and Kartik have been mere passengers in the team. If Srinath wishes to succeed with his pen then he needs to be fair in his criticisms. For example he always praises his teammates Kumble and Dravid even when they do not perform well. Its time for Srinath to remove his coloured glasses before he sits down to pass his judgement.
- Why is Parthiv Patel being persisted with despite such bad performances? You can always count on him to miss the all-important catch/stumping/run out. Is he in the team because of Kirmani, a man obsessed with providing a good wk to India? Obsession makes one stop thinking radically. We are wasting a position in the team. In the recent challenger series, Parthiv was opening for Gangulys team. In one of the matches his bat broke, so it was replaced with another bat. The replacement bat did not carry his sponsors logo, so he stopped the game and called on the 12th man and put on the sponsors sticker on his bat! Needless to say that he was back in the pavilion soon. India is struggling to find a good wk, but will you put your shoe on your head, if you do not have a crown?
That's true and learn from Australia...Steve Waugh is only in Test Team,even if he scoring 100's and 50's. There are lot of young talented players in India.
So Sehwag and other people should go out of the team..If they are playing well in Renji....then only to take them back..
That is good for Indian cricket and cricket lovers..
