...Jai! Bring the great wk back into the game. 1 of my three heros will be back at least!! the selectors are being rather strange to not pick him, because Nayan is a very strong batsman as well as a excellent wk, whether it's stumping batsman, or picking their nicks off the spinners or the fast bowlers of India! if he comes back, he will bring back glory days of India back, or at least, help to bring it back. If he's determined to get back in, BRING HIM BACK!! we'll crush the Aussies with him back!! Nayan Mongia ki Jai!!!
Respected Sir, Nayan is a good keeper as well as batsman too. He contribute some runs for indian team . He also having good experiance back to the stump.Nayan is a realy good keeper . Indian cricket board forgot the Nayan is too bad for India & also to the history of indian cricket .
mongia the name stands after kirmani, more, i hope he is the present best keeper available in india.it sounds very bad when a person of such caliber is dropped from the team with out any proper reasons. we can see from the few last matches the loss due to a keeper suffered by the indian team.the selectors have to rethink on the crude selection policy ,give him a chance again ,since he has the potential to play still.the apsent of a geniune keeper will affect indian cricket so it is necessary to rethink about this .i agree with mongias aspect that keepers are not made but they are born.
I never see a keeper fumbled like dravid and partiv. Partiv may be a talented person, but he has to go a longway. maturity is very important for a wicketkeeper and in this sense, mongia should be in the indian team for australia. I would be surprised and may question kirmani's job as head of the selectors, if it doesn't happen.
The selection process should be like this, If a person perfoms above a certain level in Ranji level the selectors should give them feedback as to what more they need from them or why they are not selecting ! SO that there is some transpiracy in the process..
He's definitley not a team man. Do you guys remember him during that last test he played against Aus. at Eden Gardens ? He got hurt in the nose and almost did not come out to bat till much later. We were precariously perched on the brink of a follow on at that time. Then when he did show up he walks up to the pitch in a yellow helmet ?? What was that about ? And please no BS about how he was used to wearing that helmet. This was an international match being watched by millions and he definitely seemed intent on making some personal point to someone. God only knows what was going thru' his mind at that time but I am positive that the Indian team's best interests were not at the top of that list !! I never want to see him donning the gloves for India again ! His portrayal of himself as a helpless victim is fooling no one.
