Irfan Pathan is a very good seamer. The most admirable thing in him is that he doesn't bowl no balls now days as he use to do earlier. With Nehra showing signs of never recovering from injuries I think he can be more than useful in Australia.
Irfan should be selected for Aus tour, but i doubt going by the record of Indian selectors, even if they inculde him, he may not get a chance in playing eleven, but lets hope for the best, if india wants to win the next world cup they must prepare from now itself
India is the best team in the world as it is having the all the best batsmen of the world but yet it loses so frequently because there arevery few cricketers who can bowl in India. Indians can't even bowl what the second string bowlers are doing their service for Australia.
Hence, Bowlers like Irfan Pathan, Avishkar Salvi, N.P. Singh, and others should be given a chance.
Why indian selectors picking old players, like murali karthik, Hemant Badani, S. Ramesh etc... We have lots of talented young players like munaf patel, raydu, Y. sing. then why we need old players??? if young players failed we can understand the reason of failure. The lack of experience. if the experienced players failed what explanation will give BCCI???
i dont know Irfan is good enough. But certainly, it's not sensible to give chance just because he was successful in one series of his own. So has been Kaif, in his U-19 world cup, now he is the place who may face the axe. and so is sehwag, who is underperforming or not much skill. Just bcoz of his big-bang euhoria, people are not able to throw him out. good luck to my team.
Why in the name of god do the BCCI selectors choose the likes of yuvraj singh in the probables for the australia tour?? he didnt do well in county league, neither has he the experience to play test matches yet.!! in comparison, mohammed kaif would be a better choice overall.
