For the last few months, we've been hearing some crictism against ganguly's captaincy and about the change of captaincy to dravid. After this match, everyone will agree with me that the thing that needs a change is not the indian captiancy BUT it is the attitude of the indians that needs a BIG change..
its very disapontied that india lost the match. but, there is still hope for india. if india wins the match against australia india will get 16 points and then they beat new zealand then, they will about 22 points and advance to the final match .
India has a very mediocre cricket team that has been made to look like world beater by spineless jornalists and rampant commercialization of the game. Former players for visiting countries come and praise our mediocre players because they want to say something complimentary when asked questions by our journalists. Anytime a player scores a 50 or century, or takes a few wickets, he is made into a world beater and the media make a beeline to interview him, his family and freinds. Notwithstanding the players poor performace of the past, he becomes a star.So many players in the current team don't even belong on the world stage. Sehwag has neither the technique nor the temperament for this level. He scores a sparkling knock once in 4 or 5 innings and keeps his position in the team. The captain says he is middling the bowl well in the nets. What about at the real stage? Same with Parthiv Patel. What the hell is so special about his wicket keeping that we don't even look at other wicketkeepers who are better batsman. He may have a great talent but the national stage is for proven players. Let players who have talent hone it in Ranji before donning the national colours.
I don't understand why Zaheer Khan is being persisted with to open the bowling, considering the way he is being consistently smashed around in his first spell. The 25-30 runs he concedes in the first 3-4 overs just takes the game away from India..
i think in todays match we saw a bad captaincy from rahul dravid i know every captain who wins a toss will definately go for the a bat on that pitch but he should have one mediuim pacer with him rather than a sairaj bahutule definately Ashish Nehara should be there in todays match but its easy to talk after match ....... as ball gt wet due to which spinner cant grip the ball as he wants but anyway now its must win situation in next matches for India specialy against New Zealanad.
This is what you get when you have very ordinary, clueless caption. What's the point in bringing in Kaif at #3 ? Either you get a pinch hitter or a in form batsman there. Why was yuvraj called in to bowl when match was virtually over? Especially when he had done decent against aussies in the last match. From current Indian bowlers bunch no bowler can do wonders. In the same fashion when Sehwagh was out on first ball Dravid should have sent in a pinch hittr against Aussies especially when we were chasing 280+. If we canot get in to final at home, god save us on the tour down under.
I don't when this so called "Indian Think Tank" starts thinking in right direction.The changes that had been made to indian team is meaningless.Why can't they use common sense.......all these days india was doing good because Dravid was doing keeping job and we were able to accomodate one extra batsman.Disappointing changes and disappointing result is ahead.
