fleming has no right to talk about the pitch conditions and early morning start. But, one thing is ridiculous. BCnair says that every game has been alloted ona rotational basis but u can find that there is no day and night match between aus and NZ.

Fleming Slams morning starts

India had to play in worse conditions than New Zealand are. Atleast, we have given something for their batsman to play for.
What they gave was some 3rd grade pitches probably prepared by some amateurs who had some extra time after work.

comon Fleming boy

WHats ur problem Fleming boy. You are rated as one of the best captain. Dont know why you are treated like that, its a mistery for me. You cant even take defeat in a good way, and cant recognize the mistakes of your team. Instead you blame Indians always. Your success is because u were lucky to get Bond, Jacob, styris, mcmullum and experience of Astle and Vittori in ur team.I never thought ur captancy has anything to do with it. The best thing u have done for ur team is getting with officials to doctor the pitch for ur conditions. what do u expect? since u r NZ captain Indian board also listen to u :). After blaming Indian conditions instead of ur team inabilities to beat Aussies, you have proved u r the worst captain any team can have. Now take the seiries in more sportive way.

Fleming's View Point
by Girish on Nov 05, 2003 05:42 PM

I feel that fleming and ponting has got some point in discussing this. I want to share this because i am also a pace bowler played senior division leagues in India. If team batting first in any indian wickets in the morning hours, it is mostly the bowlers take the lead rather than batsmen's game. As the day sets in the wicket becomes playable for the batsmen and then the score pulls on.

But in this case i personally feel that since fleming felt that the game is slipping away from his hands he has raised an issue. If the kiwis top the list even in this type of fixtures, would fleming raise this to the selectors? Its a question to him, fleming.

Fleming's Comments
by Yogesh Hasabnis on Nov 05, 2003 05:26 PM

It's surprising that such a shrewd and a thinking captain couldn't read the wicket in Faridabad and decided to bat first. It proves that he is a very very poor captain and a thinker of the game. Had Ganguly made such a mistake, all the cricket experts and the media worlwide would have slammed him for such a poor decision. But for Fleming, they will call it a rare mistake from a great captain. Its a shame that the longest serving New Zealand captain can't make use of the conditions even after winning the toss.

Ridiculous

Fleming's comment is ridiculous. Same fleming said when Indian batsman failed in NZ, if you are a good batsman, you have to play with all conditions....where is that fleming? He missed a some cruitial decisions...which he has to face.

Don't Blame the Pitches / Conditions
by Ajay Jain on Nov 05, 2003 01:01 PM

Mr. Flemings should not blame the pitch or conditions for the losses. they were due to poor batting in 1st and poor fielding in 2nd.
also before commenting about the seaming conditions, he should try to remember about the pitches that are provided in Newzealand.
