Akhtar punisment isee liye .......
by Bharat on Nov 04, 2003 08:25 AM

To the Akhtar's comment,"I have matured over the past few months and now am aware of the fact that I lead the Pakistan bowling attack. I am more responsible towards my actions nowadays."I'd like to tell only this thing that punishments are given for this reason only so that u can learn where u were wrong and learn a little respect for the game.
Hope he learns a good respect and come to ground for great show for us.sometimes we really enjoy his bowling.b ut Wasim Akram was great when he was young. We should see his old matches.A great bowler,Shoaib U should learn something from him also.

I think Wasim Akram is quite right about Akhtar.."he should stop being a loud mouth and let his bowling do the talking"..he has got a lot of things to learn ..not as a fast bowler or a cricketer but definitly as a good mature sportsman. And his attitude that fast bowlers are aggressive and they should be allowed to be like that is ridiculous. There were and there are really thorough "gentlemen" fast bowler who
have good temprament and less arrogance. No body says that i one a match for the country ..sports is always
a team effort and if some body plays so well (like a one man show) then it is definitly that time is on his side and not that he is the only great player in the team.I think as a person he has to learn a lot ,he is still like a boy..there are certaintly some traits which seperates the "men" from the "boys"
and i think Akhtar should start picking up those traits.

akhtar or overconfident egoist?
by rajib mukherjee on Nov 04, 2003 04:23 AM

I think that akhtar is more interested in making himself great than actually admiring sachin from bottom of his heart.

he goes on pointing to his dismissing him at calcutta ,his dimissals than admiring the little master at a place where he is to honour him with his own hands..

more pace to come........shoaib
by zahir on Nov 04, 2003 03:11 AM

i know that u r the fastest and the best when it comes to fast bowling, i also know that ups and downs comes in everyones life, so u r no exception. But I just love the way u run in to bowl, i pity the batsmen who face u. GOD BLESS them. If u are under threat from anyone, it is all the more not better for the batsmen. Keep up the good work that u have been doing so far, be fit and fine and uproot the stumps. GOOD LUCK, shoaib. KHUDAHAFIZ

shoaib flaring out
by ernest raj on Nov 04, 2003 02:56 AM

After reading the above article certain thoughts run

through the mind .I really appricate this guy's confidence and he has lived to the reputation of the "Rawalpindi Express". But what i think about his views about taking on the the Pakistan cricket scence,I think he has to mature a little bit more in order to take on the mantle of Pakistan cricket because a captain is a person who is calm in the times of adversity and tension and who leads by example, just to quote a few'Imran Khan,Steve Waugh

Clive Loyld' these some of the great captains who always had a great tempramaent in any given situation

I also have a few things to share about aggressive fast bowling ,true it does bring glamour to the game, but I wonder how did CourtenyWalsh,JeffThompson,Wasim Akram do it without being so aggressive ,well they used to do their talking with the leatherball

Never the less I think Shoaib Akthar has the potential to make a captain but he has to learn a lot before reaching the status. His aggressive attitude could always pull the team up in situation where they are down another advantage is his fighting spiritand the never give up attitude could help him to earn the captain's mantle

Fast bowlers behavour
by Madhav on Nov 04, 2003 02:19 AM

Even if you run and bowl fast you are not licensed to abuse others. Dennis Lilli too advocated simillar behavour. But there were the genious fast bowlers who never hardly lost their min control the likes were Joel Garner, Michael Holding, Courtney Walsh etc and these made the cricket a gentleman's game. And when behaviour of the bowlers will be talked these people will be rememberd and not others.

He is the Best bowler

Akthar is one of the best bowler in the history of the cricket. The aggression is quite natural. I don't think it was necessary to ban him for the test and one day matches.
