We want to write every single word anyone has to say about Sachin. We want to make everyone acknowledge he is the best. So much so that Srinivisan Jain (Star news)asked Imran Khan if Sachin's getting the wisden's player of the year award makes him think he is the best. the fact that Imran saying he did not know who won it,and Sachin not winning it ultimately not withstanding, Imran was literally made to eat his words. Christs sake get out of Sachins obsession. Indian cricket is bigger than anyone man. I wont go into if he is the all time best batsman of India or he is the best batsman in the world today. Such discussions are futile and can never end, the fact is, and as right observed by Ian chappel, Indians would not feel bad if Sachin scored a century and India lost the match. We like hero-worship, forget the fact that more than half of us do not understand the game of cricket, do not know what a long off is and where is third man. Forget the fact that bowlers are curbed with the limitations on the number of bouncers or field restriction. What would Sachin be, if the batsman were to be told he cant score in a certain region for a certain time?
