disaster for cricket
by suraj on Jun 10, 2003 02:29 PM

its a tragedy that new captain has decided not to include klusnerfor the england tour.last time english men had to adopt different strategies to tame klusner.the present english team with the new players look good to beat southafrica.
klusner was a tough customer a nightmare to all the bowlers in the world, the last bastman you would like to bowl at the death overs.
south african cricket is detiorating .if they go this way it would take only a couple of years to make them an ordinary side.
south africans made a great mistake of making smith the captain.now they have another disastrous mistake.HE WAS THE TRUE HERO,NOT EVEN TENDULKAR COULD MATCH THOSE HEROIC ACTS OF COURAGE AND FIGHTING SPIRIT.

Its a good decision

Actually it is a pretty good decision I say.
Klusener wasn't playing good in recent years . Though having great potential he could reproduce it very few times after 1999 World Cup & result is
he was losing his image as a Match Winner. Consistency is more important than the potential is proven by this decision .
Klusener's omission gives good chance to new players to come up & grab the golden opportunity. In future we might see an another threatening all rounder in South-African side.

all the best

One of the best cricketers I like these days is Jack Kallis. But without Klusner and Rhodes, the most exciting SA team is reduced to almost non-entity. Remember when India travelled to SA, it was said that two-third of the world is covered by water. The remaining one third is covered by Jhonty.
SA, perform well because we need to give semblence of competition to the mighty Ausies. Besides India, you are one of the hopes.

Exclusion of Klusener for England Tour - A Great Loss
by B Sivasankaran on May 20, 2003 03:34 PM

Its a great loss for SA team which is already very low in self morale. Its good that youngsters are to be groomed but not at the cost of quality players. Zulu may not have performed in the recently concluded World Cup but fingering him out alone will not provide victories for SA. UCSAB need to think positively and encourage their match winners instead of shutting the door on them. If few failures can decide the fate of match winners then there are so many who are all not even eligible to play International Matches in alomost all the Test Cricket Playing countries. Zulu is definitely one of the dangerous players on any day and he is a crowd puller too. SA has now got a new captain who is much younger than the Average Age of the team and he needs a quality player like Klusener in his side to bring back the lost glory of SA. SA is heading to play 4 Tests and a Natwest Triangular Series with England as the host and Zimbabwe as the third team in the fray. England will be headed by new captain but they are a tough team at home. Zimbabwe is also under some pressure but its not easy to beat them on their day. SA is now without few some of the best allrounders of the game. All the best SA.
