give em the credit

Aussies hav been playing well. The fact remains that they are the undisputed leaders of international cricket. Before disputing their greatness and asking them to come to India and win, please may our dear Indian team fans tell me when our wonderful team has one a test match in Australia convincingly. We are so jealous of the Aussies, its just deplorable. Can't we first improve our cricket, be humble and perform. We are just angry because we lost the world cup to them. They played well, our bowlers fouled up. Then I hear people commenting about the aussie sledging. Well if it makes the game competetive and creates mind games in the batsmen's eyes so be it. It makes the game more exciting. It adds emotion to the game. The nature of mediocracy, self pity and self praise has grown to such levels in our country that instead of finding the fault within ourselves we point at others.
Shame on the fans for taking such a dogmatic view towards the Aussies. At the end of the day they are the most successful team and thats what matters.

I dont think Bhajji (in that case any Indian spiiner) is of any use on pitches outside India. Now, that the series in Australia is over, everyone will appreciate the fact that the sole test match we won was due to a pacer and not a spinner. I hope Saradhi goes thru this message!

West Indies always the superb team in the world
by C.S.Ramachandran on May 19, 2003 06:17 PM

Message to Lara.

Don't worry. Let Gayle and Powell open the match again. You take the second, then sarwan, Samuel, smith, Chandrapaul. You are going to win this one day series definitely. Banks is superb and try to give him a chance after 3. He will shine.

Always attack bowlers. This is not test match to settle down and then attack.

Australia is nothing for West Indies. West Indies
might have won the first one day if rain did not
disrupt the match.

Take always fielding that is the game and you will
get the opportunity to chase the score theyby your
batsman gets better experience.

God Bless you Lara and your team.

We need to find Support to Bajji
by Saradhi on May 19, 2003 02:25 PM

You are wrong. Raw pace is not the answer to Australia. That too int ehir grounds. It will be very foolish to play with their Own Strength. Qulaity spinner can babooz and can take wickets on any Pitch and Bajji is the right answer to aussies. Remember how Ricky pontng played Bazzi last time when they were in INdia. But we need to find out a good support quality spinner for Bazzi. It should be between Am,ith Mishra, Murali Karthik and Sairaj Bahatule. Come on BCCI. R U sleeping ??? Use this leisure time and Grrom the future team............
