If Chanderpaul does it for Windies it will do a world of good for world cricket and confirm that kangaroos are not invincible.It will do a massive attack on Aussies ego which is desperately needed.This will also make Waugh to rethink about his statement that Windies are conquered India is next.
Windies are on the verge of cricketing history . A clairvoyant skipper Brian Lara had mentioned before the final Test that the Windies were on the verge of something " fantastic " in the final test. These words coming after being down 0-3 left one nonplussed and truly required courage of one's conviction and abilities . If Lara's young guns finally make those 47 runs this morning - his words would be rendered truly prophetic .
All kudos to the West Indies team for not buckling down under pressure & also putting up a good show inspite of not-so-big contribution from the captain. It'll be a great reprieve to World Cricket if WI manage to win as then they will halt the seemingly impossible run of the Aussies. Best of luck.
I'm really sick of the attitude of the australians..they just dont seem to accept defeat. I had great respect for the australians, but now thats history after their behaviour in the last test match. One should feel bad for lara and co. These Australians should be Massacared along with the match referee who is a white.. Had it been any indian or srilankan, they would have been banned for life.. We (India) should have defeated them in the finals..
i had the opportunity to watch the so-called world champions yesterday....it was dirty & ugly the way people like Steve Waugh, Mcgrath & Co behave when they cant get their way with the bat or ball...the sledging is just not cricket...these guys are not true champions if they cant put on better behavior. i for one have lost all my respect for them...here is a team that has won 3 matches and the other is fighting hard in the fourth one...instead of playing in the true spirit these aussies have developed a new way of cheating altogether...our man,Zaheer Khan also did the same in the WC final & it shud be discouraged.
i was very happy the guts and gritt they showed in chasing this huge total.windies have never had a series whitewash in the past 37 years which makes it a very intresting fininish on the field. 48 more runs to get and chanderpaul the man that the ausies want. if they get him in a span of 15 runs on the day, than we have a match on our hands... but i still give west indies a chance to beat the mighty aussies.
