Total Bias against ganguly
by Sanjay Rai on May 03, 2003 01:35 PM

I am writing to protest against your website total and compete bias against ganguly and any of his achievements.

Please explain why you have published an article highlighting the praise that Tendulkar has received from Wisden's latest issue but completely left out all the praise that the same Wisden issue has showered on Ganguly. Wisden has given all the credit for the transformation of the Indian Test and Odi team to Ganguly's strong personality, leadership and his loyalty to the talented young players. His leadership during the world cup and the series in England and West Indies has also been praised. Why didn't your website feel the need to mention all this when almost all other sports websites and indian newspapers made it a point to be equivocal in their praise of both Tendulkar and Ganguly.

Granted you may have a personal dislike for Ganguly but that should not stop people like Prem Panicker and Faisal Sharrif from being objective reporters. You only glaringly highlight when he violates some stupid insignificant protocol which no other newspaper or website even reported! Pathetic and petty are two words that come to mind. Tsk Tsk
