Full credit to John Wright and Andrew Leipus for making a cohesive unit out of our team and making them one of the fittest teams in the arena today... The Board should, for once atleast, forget about politics and stand behind these fine gentlemen and true professionals...
John Wright deserves this contract extension. But BCCI has insulted him by extending just for 2 months. His contract should be extended for substantial period and not just 2 months. Steve Waugh is already out of ODIs. We should wait for him to come out of TESTs also. Then we should rope Steve Waugh as Indian team's coach. He will be the ultimate choice. When is he coming out of TESTS ?
HI, It is a good decision taken by the board by retaining john wright as the coach. He has taken the indian team to a great heightsi.e,this indian team is very consistent in one day international. Now his job will be to make this talented team win a series in test and make it consistent. If he does it it will be big milestone that nobody would have done. Long live john wright.
Wright and Galguly make a great combination.. John is down to earth and has benn the ONE Coach who backs his team, is honest and hardworking ... and does not get into Politics like his predecessors He should continue till next World Cup atleast ...
Though with John Wright there were some memorable successes to continue him after the world cup final is kind of accepting a failure to me! If John is to continue then the board should atleast give him more powers in terms of team selection, evaluating probables and identifying needed talents. With worldcup as an exception the team still sadly need quality fast bowlers and a very good spin bowler!
