Bravo !

A very temperamental bowler ... truly unplayable somedays, pedestrian the other days. Goughie n Andy were among the best bowlers that England produced during our times.

Anyway ... great decision to allow younger bowlers to find a place. James Anderson, Harmison and Simon Jones et all will hopefully make use of the oppurtunity.

Caddick quits ODI

Caddick was never a great bowler. He may have been the better of the English bowlers, but that is just a reflection on the state of Inglish cricket.

Caddick has done well against the minnows, but never against great teams and great players.

Recently he even aquired the habit of using his mouth more than his brains - Tendulkar put a good end to that - thrashing him all over the pack.

I dont think he will be missed by the fans of the game, well may be the batsmen will miss him - no more easy pickings!!

Good Decision
by Prabhaker on Mar 29, 2003 06:26 PM

Caddick decision is good for english cricket, because he is not that much effective for the one day cricket
but one thing is questioning me is english cricket is conducting lot of domestic tournaments r they dont have any match winners to select for the national level. I think they have politics like our indian cricket.

Brave front..

I have always felt Caddick had been an underacheiver throughout...
He was in his prime some 4 years before when he used his height to his advantage. Now he neither has the pace to trouble the batsman and his line and length is totally messed up..
None the less, a good cricketer retires.Take a bow.

Caddick, a good fast bowler
by Divya B Sridhar on Mar 29, 2003 02:41 PM

Caddick was one of those consistent & good fast bowlers in the recent past & has been very good for England. Sorry to hear his retirement from Intl Cricket. Well, it is he who has to decide it. Thanks for entertaining, Caddick !!
