Sir we need you

Dear Sir, V Indians still need to listen to your commetry & your fine tips to younger generation would be an added advantage for them to come up. I really liked your comment on Mumbai's paceman Paras Mhambrey that "EVEN MY MOM WOULD NOT BE OUT IN BACKYARD FOR THIS KIND OF BOWLING" & the terms "ROOBISH", "PRINCE OF COOLCUTTA"......& ofcourse critics on Indias "RUN CHASES", it speaks that you are a perfect English man & that too Yorkshireman in particular. but I would like to tell you that India has got best run chasing records.....

Cheers Boycott!

I recommend everyone also read this earlier Rediff article on Sir Geoffery Boycott's tryst with cancer.

That article is must-read for anyone who himself is fighting the disease or has a loved-one fighting it. I guess after Dr. Christian Barnad's "In Celebration of Being Alive", this has been one of the most effective pieces of writing which have a tremendously therapeutic effect on people undergoing medical anguish.

Not only does he retain his straight-talking humour which is his trademark as a commentator, the article also suggests that he carries that attitude in the face of adversity in life too! Very inspiring.

Wishing you speedy recovery, Sir Geoffery.

Rediff DID NOT allow the URL of the above-mentioned article!

So if you are interested in reading that article please go to Rediff Search and type "Boycott" and "cancer" as key words...

Out of the results choose the following:
"Boycott on the road to recovery from cancer"
Shyam Bhatia in London | January 07, 2003 22:15 IST

Regards

p.s.
1. Surprisingly the CURRENT article DOES NOT appear as a search result. Would rediff care to respond?
2. I am terribly disappointed with the reader response to this article. Just a couple of people wrote in. Maybe all of us Indians are turning into dumb, insensitive, shallow but loud individuals. Just look at the number of readers who write in to discuss Priyanka Chopra's knickers in Andaaz or send congratulatory messages to Sachin on his 30th (big deal!!) birthday. Very sad!
