Here we go again.

By agreeing to "forget" the Mike Denness episode 'cos he is undergoing health issues is saying Mike Denness is the issue, and not the improper and inconsistent application of playing conditions by different match referees.

Please, please look up Mike Denness' record in cricket even during his playing days. He debuted when he was 29, played 6 years and didn't do didly squat that is important. By far the most prominent thing he has done is slap the Indians with all those bans and punishments. He is a non-issue, if ever there was one. And by the way - I wish him speedy recovery.

He needn't even be present for reviewing the incident - it is on tape, there are other witnesses, and if indeed Indians were at fault by the book, by all means uphold the verdict, and if they weren't, overturn it - that, my friends, is closure. Not forgetting. And we also establish that we dont take sloppiness lying down.

As long as Indian (and others as well) cricket is run by wealthy rotarians who have no right to be there in the first place, these things will keep happening.

For crying out loud, bring in the pros.
