You do know that there is a lot of Money in the game of Cricket. Haven't you seen All & Sundry chaps who are unlikely to make a big name for themselves 'shaving' of their Bat's face even before they have scored a hundred in any international match, all with a view to get a 'free' advertisement on TV. It reminds me of Vacant-Hoarding-Space in cities showing the agency's contact numbers. Regretably there will never be any takers for these 'Bald Bats'.
I have no grudge when Sachin or Steve or Brian make money from Sponsors. But precious foreign exchange getting 'wasted' on "latent returns" hurts me the most. Instead if only such 'Ad Spends' could be used for the benifits of budding talents and other allied stuff I am sure the Returns could be equally GOOD, if not even BETTER!
