Graeme Smith, who is not certain in oneday team for SA(He was not in the original SA WC team, came only after Rhodes was injured), have played only five Tests has no right to criticise ZULU, who really and nearly won WC for SA . Luck havent permitted them and the Semi Final was a tie. Otehriwse SA should won that WC.

Grame smith is a kid and Zulu is the master of the game

Woolmer Supports Klusener

I totally agree with Bob Woolmer. Well, this shows the real attitude of players like Graeme Smith, the new SA captain. I have a feeling that he is not able to digest the sudden turn of events that occur after the world cup, the person who really was struggling to keep his place in the team is made captain, and now he is badmouthing his seniors. this is ridiculous. Klusener is still regarded as one of the best hitter in cricket and a crisis man, but the only problem with him is his bad luck. Eventhough he was instrumental in taking his team to WC semis in '99 singlehandedly, this is also a fact that he has been at the crease in most of the crucial matches SA lost. and i am not saying that UCBSA did a right thing by sacking him, it was some kind of jinx which will be broken some time, and the lack of form also did not help him. but still he certainly deserves a chance. And it is really wrong on behalf of Smith to say such things about Klusener. What next?? well i guess, we will see Smith critisizing Cronje & Gibbs for their involvement in match fixing, Cullinan for the pay row, Pollock for the "bad" decisions that he took on field.

Smith is nuts.

Mr. Bob Woolmer is absolutely right about his opinion of the current state of South African cricket. SA cricket is not the same anymore. The team that played from late 1996 to early 2000 is sorely missed. Dropping Klusener is beyond my understanding. But when already the team is without Jonty and Donald, Kirsten is available only for the tests, Pollock is not the captain anymore, Boucher has been axed as the vice-captain, so what difference does it make if Klusener is also axed? After this hell lot of sacking of players and officials, let's tolerate another setback. I think the '99 World Cup has been forgotten, so along with it, Zulu's heroics are also gone..is it so? and a guy whose place in the team was not certain, who only got to play in the World Cup as Jonty's REPLACEMENT, has now become the captain..a post once held by the greats like Cronje and Pollock, and now this guy believes he has the liberty to accuse his seniors anywhere and everywhere?? What on earth gives him so much authority? and what's gone wrong with the UCB? Why are they so determined to end the Hansie era?
Poor SA..they will never be the same team again. I already miss them so much.
