hi i loved Hansie and his dedication to the game of cricket always...a great motivator, fighting cricketer, adn brilliant captain, even u can put him amongst the greatest of the captains...for he served the cricket especially the south african cricket...to make his team the strongest one..in the world.. the article by the writer is really nice and defenetly qualifies for the applause. cronje did one mistake and people went against him...but i will say...he was a man with the golden heart and lion's courage...for he accepted his mistake...and of course "to err is human" but to accept one's error..i think is not human..but something great.....and he accepted in spite of knowing the results.....
obviously it's the fate that within one year...he lost his life...and cricket " A great good man with one mistake"..
I whole heartedly support and respect the poem written in remembrance of Hansie Cronje .He indeed was ,is ,and will always be one of the finest and most loved players of the game of cricket . Hats off for Hansie Cornje !!!
The article overlooks many things. The author is effusive in the praise of Hansie and probably that has some merit. However, can the flaws of Hansie override the good qualities he had? In my opinion, the answer is no. Hansie should not be remembered as a great leader and as a good human being. For what he committed in his life is a sin which does not have atonement. He cheated the entire country. He betrayed trust. Even God considers betrayal of trust as a sin which has no equivalent. I take the liberty of asking the author how would he feel if someone whom he trusted, stabs him in the back. How can everyone forgive Hansie for what he did? He lost all credibility once it was proved that he did what he did. No matter how repentant he was subsequent to that, what is the guarantee he would have mended his ways? What is the guarantee that he would have had the conscience of coming clean had he not been presented the pile of solid evidence against him? He could have continued cheating, for all I know. No, Hansie does not deserve any sympathy. Please stop this campaign of spreading goodwill about cheats.
Hansie really was a teriffic captain. In fact he was one man who had the guts to accept the truth, how many else would that? its not fair to brand him as a "total cheater" lets appreciate his contribution as well.Poor fellow he wasnt good at fixing - he got caught!! there are others who are hiding under!!! My mournings to the man's soul

Going by the same token, you cannot trust anyone who has made a single mistake in his life. What is the guarantee that he will not do something similar again ? Applies to you mate, as well. If u ever did a single mistake in your life, how can anyone trust you ?
And the article just mentions the truth. Hansie was a good player and a great leader. No doubt about it. You should remember him as he was, not just as a cheat.
Ya he admitted that he got the money. How many others have the courage to accept what they have done ? Have azhar or jadeja told the truth ?
This is as sick as it gets. Whoever wrote the article does not seems to know what exactly patriotism is. He fixed some matches and lost the matches. Didnt do the justice to honor that was bestowed upon him of being captain. And Indian media will never find someone who is indian and who has offered more that what this cheat has would ever have offered.
What has Azhar and Jadeja done wrong or for that matter Kapil? Did the median back them??????
