Hi, Enough of acting. We all know all batsman want to be remembered as the best. All these tall tales are not going to convince. It's better if he just shuts up and gets on with his job
Mr. Tendulkar After 14 years, you must be a highly dissatisfied player, cause you have not contributed to any major Indian victory, a fact borne out by the fact that India has not won any overseas tour since 1986, three years before your debut. By the way, do you remember a tournament called commonwealth games in 1998, where you had to play for your country only and not for any sponsor/logo money? I hope you also remember your "contribution" and that of Steve Waugh. You are right on one point, that Waugh is a great player because greatness is not measured by sheer statistics only. History will remember Waugh as a batsman who scored his runs when his team needed it most, as a batsman and captain who inspired his team to heights unimagined. Unfortunately, history will remember you as only an accumulator of personal records and personal glory and as a failed captain. By the way, if you are the greatest batsman of all time, why does India have to look for Greg Chappell and co. for tips on how to play fast bowling in Australia? You have toured Australia twice (with rather unflattering results). Why do you not help out the juniors? Or is it an admission that you are not capable enough?
tendulkar has rightly called waugh as a great batsman but he is much more than that.waugh has been a role model and idol for million of youngsters.waugh should be complemented for coming late in the order and smashing all his centuries.he can definitely beat gavaskars record and looks that he is not in a mood to call it quits.he can definitely play more cricket and the selectors shouldnt pull of the rug.tendulkar is a marvellous batsman, but waugh is a great captain, brilliant captain and a wonderful human being.
