Waugh vaah!!!

Ste Waugh is very correct. Strength of this australian team lies in their ability to score quick runs.

I don't think Dull Shiv might be able to help us in winning matches against Aussies with his abilities (20 runs from 120 balls, a prediction).

If india has to win against these mighty aussies, our opening batsman should be able to score 4runs per over instead of thinking of wearing out the ball strategy(which never worked for us).if we try this strategy we will wear out, not the ball.

So best way to wear out a ball is "Hit it all around"

4 days quality cricket is better than 5 days dull cricket. Kudos to Waugh....

As the title suggests, Steve Waugh is undoubtedly the BEST captain. He also is a Great and Reliable player and a "Gentleman off-field". Aggressive, Tactical and Leads his team by example.
Whatelse can you ask for!!

Wah Wah,...Way to go Waugh!! Congratulations!!

He may not be the greatest but certainly would rank in the top three or four,in the company of Don Bradman & Chappel brothers.

Gretest Cricket Captain-Steve Waugh???
by Viswanathan Nair on Jul 20, 2003 09:34 PM

Is it possible for somebody to be considered as the greatest captain with the help of such a lowly rated team like Bangaladesh? Pure statistics won't reflect quality. I do consider Frank Worrell,Clive Lloyd and Imran Khan as the great captains cricket has ever seen .

greatest captain

The greatness lies in bringing out the best in all in the team. Waugh may be a very good captain, but not the greatest, as the team normally does well, no matter who is at the helm. I feel, relatively speaking, Hansie Cronje was the Greatest captain as he could motivate team members to greater heights, while without him, the same players look lost.

Corrections friend!!!

Lloyd is the best captain ever in world cricket. Lloyd had Lillie, Thompson, Gavaskar, Vishvanath and the entire Aussie batting legends in the 70s to conquer. Also Lloyd had 11 superstars whereas Waugh has only 4 or 5. Waugh's opponents are peanuts when compared to Lloyd's opponents. Don't go by statistics alone friends..... calculate success only by quality of cricket played. Will any body compare Border or Sachin to Great VIV or Greeidge(Test avg 40 plus only!!!) or Haynes (avg. 40 only)!!!!
