i think flintoff is the most vulnerable player for england. making him open the batting will be a great asset to the english team. every great player has there best player opening the account. Jayasuriya, tendulkar, hayden to name a few. hence he should open
unlike gilchrist or jayasuriya or trescothick, flintoff is no opening batsman. he is right handed. he is not technically as well equipped. he is a biffer. he is more like botham. and we all know what a failure botham was as an opener. so let's save it, and flintoff. he's better off at number five. the bowlers are easier to deal with, the ball is old, the field is spread out and flintoff's limited skills are better utilized there. so...enough said. from me and boycott.
