hey hey ...lets not forget what the little guy did to pakistan on our world cup matchup, who says he does not fire when needed, If that is not fire on all cylinders, I don't know what is :-)
its really great that our Indian player hold a top position in Batting. let's wish our bowlers too to come to top(first)position. If Indians think they can do it. all the very best to our cricket team
To beat the Aussies more of Indian players have to move upto the top 10 spot. Though we have the world's greatest batsman matches cannot be won unless we play as a team. So Ganguly has to watch out before he makes any comments on the plans to ground the Aussies.
It is not surprising that Sachin at No.1. He is dedicated batsman. People say his innings not brought many victories to India. But he is not selfish and record oriented. Whatever he does in batting it becomes a record. He has not played any match after world cup but still he is on top. He must have got the World cup for India. But our bowlers brought it down in the world cup final. He is great.
Really, quite difficult to understand how can one stay on top even not playing a single ODI after the world cup. Lets not forget that it was Ricky Ponting not Mr Sachin who fired when it MOST mattered - THE WC finals. Saching failed miserably. Since then Ricky Ponting has been in absolute sublime form in both Tests and ODIs. Even being a indian and not a biased one, i Think Ricky Ponting should be at the top as per current form. Sachin is nursing his nail ...ooops finger injury. Let sachin go to US on vacation wasting BCCI's money nursing his finger or whateever injury.

Well,Mr.Biswas seems to have forgotten that it was "Mr Sachin",he puts it,was responsible almost single handedly for galvanising the team into playing like champions after that abysmal loss to the Aussies,& that's the reflection of a true champion-the ability to inspire,to lead by example, something that Ricky has yet to do on a regular basis. And don't forget that if it were India who had batted first & put up 360 on the board,I wonder if Ricky would have fared much better than Sachin did!!When you walk out to the middle having to chase over 7 an over right from the start,& the frenzied expectations of millions of cricket-crazy fans,it's bound to play on your mind-Sachin's human, after all, though he's achieved almost immortal status on the cricket field,& will be remembered for generations to come as a legend among the pantheon of cricketing greats. Can someone say the same for Ricky Ponting??
