injury to cricket players
by Ajith Lal M on Jul 08, 2003 09:51 PM

Hope Bajji gets well soon.It is seen that the players are getting injury too much now a days. The players are complaining of heavy schedule. But we can see that when 3 or 4 players are removed from the team we did not quality cricketer or players substitute for them. This is because of lack of rotation policy. Atleast 25 players should be selected for a period of 6 months for both test and one day games. The players should be rotated and given equal chances. More games should be played. After 1 to 2 years of this system we will be able to see that a country produces more quality cricketers about atleast 15 to 20 in numbers. This helps in substitution of the players when the players get injured. When more games are played the players get well experienced and when the players are rotated and rest they get time for the mental as well as physical training. They stay in good health. This also avoid the players get injured. When the players get adequate rest they will be able to prepare for the international event. When the players learn that their place are not safe until they play well they give maximum and the quality of the game improves. send ur comments at ajithlalm@rediffmail
