its good that the captain of the indian cricket team MR SOURAV GANGULY has started taking some vital steps for the future but i think keeping in mind the 2007 world cup indian captain and the selectors must try to develop some good all rounders thats the one aspect in which we are always lagging behind from other teams.i think AJIT AGARKAR is a serious contender for this slot as he is a fine bowler and has shown his potential as a batsman.he should be given game after game and should be given enough room to develop.the other department which is a serious concern is to find another good strike bowler as i think MR JAVAGAL SRINATH may not be able to continue till 2007 given his present age.other wise there is no problems with our batting and one more thing the coach and the physical trainer has to be given a longer stint.
dear saurav ji in our country small kids dream of becoming anathor ganguly or tendulkar.no body even thinks of becoming anathor brett lee or kapil dev.because of this attitude bowling has become our weakness and maximum cause of indias failure.2003 cup was won by aussies only because of strong peice of bowling.
Sirs, After the world cup 2003 we have seen lot of changes in the captains and the teams in most of the countries.May be they are having the world cup 2007 in mind. The selectors in India also should think on these lines nowitself and start trying youngsters doing well in the domestic circuit. They must identify a wicket keeper batsman and a good spin bowler.Pick them young and in four years they should be o.k.like Australia we should be winning all onedayers and persons who are not having that attitude and fail should be dropped irrespective of their past glory.Let us instal Kapil's rule in cricket . I don't know why Ganguly never mentions Tendulkar whereas he never hesitates to mention that Rahul is a key player. He is trying to be nice to the new crop of players as well. Ganguly.. Ganguly.. Ganguly..
