We could see and feel that during the World Cup and I hope that good Doctor work has helped them to perform to their ability.

Listen guv'nors, allowing lawn tennis to hog the limelight for a spell isn't about to undermine cricket's popularity and hence rediff's stake in the profits therein, don't worry. And oh, its really good to see that the equally irritating (if not more so) articles from your entertainment-cum-movies-cum- models squad aren't appearing as frequently as they were a short time earlier !!!!
The domestic cricket system in India for the last 15 years does not make it conducive for players representing the country. It would be really good for India to adopt a system of playing 4-5 team competion with all the players in the senior playing in the domestic competition. This gives a standard for evaluating new players. When a new player like Salvi or Murali Karthik comes to the Indian side they havet competed against Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly. That is why the newcomers are not tough. Our board sadly does not promote the domestic game inspite of all the money it has.
