I'm not sure where your all from but im aussie and yeh the aussie criket team can be...rude but most aussies arnt like that. I think they should stop the racism totally because it'll give the rest of australia a bad name.
Let me tell u one thing guys that monkey Lehman was given a very light senrence of 5 one day internationals.For his crime he should have been banned from cricket altogether.Just because he is a Whitey he has been awarded a lesser sentence.
With so many instances of Aussies calling people from sub continent black that and black this makes one wonder if they all are inherently racist. I hope I am wrong, but even the way they look at defeats at the hands of our teams suggests they are a little racist. The fact that they raised such hell about Muralitharan after Wisden named him the best spinner, the loosing of heads at the mere suggestion that Tendulkar may be the best batsman also implies their racist feelings. Now and then one of them says one of their own even among the contempararies as better than Tendulkar. They just can't stomach it if anybody from sub continent is called the best. No prizes for being gentlemen, but no prizes for being racists either. With players themselves leading by example, no wonder the spectators laugh at injured players. All this will hurt them in the long run. Many of their fans from sub continent like me have already started disliking their team.

I think you better re-think your statement, white people are not the only ones who are racist your remarks here suggest that you and most of the other comments reak of racism against white people, racism is not soley a white problem, you know black people suffer from ths same affliction, The pakistan cricketer was reported for racial abuse remember or have you guys got selective memories, he was reported only reason got off that he was judged by a black guy, should have been two judges both races. I do not condone racism but be fair, lets not blame the other colour when you are just as racist. what would be the reply if it was one of your own guys that was banned what then same comment or just he had good reasons hey, be interesting answer wouldn't it, and if you really want to know the truth it wasn't said to anyone in particlar it was said in their own dressingroom maybe the people concerned shouldn't be listening into other peoples conversation, in a court of law that is considered inaddmissable evidence, but no you want to play judge and jury, well get your facts straight and see the whole picture and not what suits, you were not there so how do you know what went on their are two sides too the story, and for you information their was a verbal and written apology to the whole team who in return accepted that and far as they were concered it was closed case, but instead ICC decided to use him as a scapegoat because of where he was from, but he accepted the outcome and left it at that without whingeing, and served his time and has learnt from it so you should learn also your racist comments are not needed nor condoned as they are insulting to all including yourself as they paint you as a narrowminded bigot, and you should apologise to all races.
I certainly agree with Pankaj. Aussies are the most arrogent cicketers around. They have such a hige superiority complex that they cannot stomach Shoaib being faster than Bret, Murali being better than Shane and Saching being better than Steve! Their behaviour is the worst on field. They can do ANYTHING to dismiss a batsman or upset a bowler. They are not called worth calling Sprortsman, let alone ccricketers (Cricket being a gentleman's game)!
With all the media hype created about the WORLD CHAMPIONS - Australia, it becomes difficult for them to accept any other team's superiority, may it be in batting, bowling or fielding.
They indulge in sledging if a opposition batsman dictates, they blabber if a bowler does not allow them to score runs and they feel that they could never be out LBW. Any umpiring decision not in their favour brings the devil outa them.
It is a good punch on their nose but needs to be seen how long they remember this since their inbuilt character would never allow them to be decent !!!!@!!
Aussie cricket team is not the only one the mis-behaves, remember Lytton Hewitt ? Wasn't he fined for racial slurs against James Blake ? How can you have faith in ACB when they have absolved Warne and Waugh for accepting bribes ? In general, there exists racism in Cricket. The white cricket players especially the Aussies seem to get away with murder. The so called match referees are clue less and gutless. I am not sure why Clive Lloyd did not punish Lehmann for his outburst. If excessive appealing can bring the game to disrepute and warrants suspension, in my opinion racial outburst be it on the field or off the field demands suspension of the player for a series or two and the parent board should be fined 50% of the their revenues.
I think it's admirable of Ponting to accept their misgivings. And the Aussies are definitely not arrogant....at least not when u compare them to our captain Ganguly!!...who by the way, has nuthing really to be proud about!!! Slip ups do happen. As for swearing...even the Indian cricketers do that....it's not just the Aussies!!!! So to all Indians out there....kindly open ur eyes n look at urselves b4 pointing fingers at others!!!!

Lady, looks like you have very little knowledge about cricket and especially when it comes to the sledging on the cricket ground. Before you ask Indians to open their eyes, please do us Indians a favour, stop bashing the Indian team. Sledging a part of the game that the Aussies play, it is nothing new, have you ever watched the mouth of their fast bowelrs, u can lip read them easily. They suck R
