Modern sports are not traditional sports any more. Gone are the days when a losing team applauded a winning team and there was no shame in losing. In todays world winning is the only thing and second place is no better then the last place. We still call them sports but all it is now is business, in which only rupees and paisas are counted. It is high time India shall realize it and stop trying to carry that torch. They shall see it that the so called advance countries are throwing those words at other countries with out acting on them themselves. The other countries are too proud to carry those words on their head and feel they are doing it right. They have shown bias against Asian cricketing countries time and again. I can site hundreds of example of bias behavior on and off cricket field including racial. I am tired of every media man stringing Indian Team for NZ tour. Why cant they see truth of what happened in that tour. 1- Loud mouth Captain of NewZeland making derogatory remarks (challenges) about the Indian Batsman before even the series started. It makes me believe, he knew what the wicket would be doing and everything was preplanned. 2- Wrong information from grounds man about the pitches before start of every game. 3- Pitches were doctored to demolish the betting of rival team. India on the other hand faltered on three counts. One they behaved like gentlemen. They didnt go in verbal wars. Secondly they trusted the NewZelanders for truth about the pitches. Third they did not make adjustment right after the first test. I blame coach Wright for all three mistakes. Warriors, when warring, go in a mode, where only thing they could think of is to try to defeat enemy without realizing the strategies applied by the foes. It is the duty of the General to see through them and direct his soldiers to make the necessary changes. Yes coach is a General and Captain is the in-charge of the soldiers at the front line. Captain shall be guided by the Coach. Not the coach shall be guided by the captain. Time has come we realize, what is happening and adopt accordingly. A word of advice to the media people associated with Indian cricket. Stop being negative. Look at the positive. Stop blaming the players because they faltered. Start taking about the administrative officials, the Boards, Umpires and Coaches. Look what new technology and facilities other countries are using for their teams which we shall but are not. Stop what we are doing to our team by ridiculing them and start supporting them. Try to create an environment so we can have better team in the future. Write articles so private organizations start promoting sports at high school level. Finally wish India Team to win World Cup and tell them win or lose we are with them.
Ganguly should be given an E grade instead of D. It was not that he didn't score many runs but the fact that the manner in which Ganguly was dismissed in each of the 7 innings was disgraceful and unpardonable. Its high time that Ganguly should realize that he needs to lead from the front and just simply do not rely on other individual/team performances and his good luck to win matches for India.
Nice comments. Our Players should see these comments and should improve themselves.
Yesterday One programme came in ETV in Andhra Pradesh. It was about Ganguly and Tendulkar. I don't think our players are aware of this. But it was nice. They told exactly what is happening at present.
